The Flare (updated version)

Every day I pull down the Flare for a couple back to backs relieving all sorts of symptoms. The units temps are consistently on mark. The 3-bat bay is excellent for a full days app. Worth my grab!

I initially enjoyed the Flare, it worked well for a couple months then started having trouble with starting the countdown. After I reached out to BFG they sent a new unit to me that initially worked but then started having the same problems. I can't tell if there's some kind of limiter that is not working correctly or what, but I would not recommend purchasing the Flare until they get these issues resolved. If you can only use it for one use at a time until it fully cools, what is the point? Hoping to come back and updated this review if I ever hear back from customer service

The Flare Induction Heater Review

Hello everyone,

People had a few questions for me about the Flare Induction Heater by u/BatteryFreeGanz and I've made a few tests to answer.

The first thing I will say is that the device is much smaller than I thought, I can very easily carry in with me in a very small bag without any problems.

The second thing I will mention is the AMAZING BUILD QUALITY...!!! The device feels very robust and have a very PREMIUM feel in the hand.

Now for some technical mumbojumbo, I power the device with 3 18650 batteries model P30B by Molicel, you can of course also use Molicel P28A which are more freely available BUT the P30B are far superior in terms of Capacity and Continues Discharge Rate and they last for quite a long time until they need to be recharged.

The Flare have 3 buttons, the middle button is an off/on switch and a select switch, the left and right buttons are used as a + and - to determine the Wattage and Timer of the device.

The Flare have a range of wattage from 30 watt up to 120 watt and the timer goes up to 60 seconds.

And it's operated by a sensor so you just need to insert your favorite device into the Hole/Chamber and it will start the heating process.

Now I have tested the Flare with the following devices: Dynavap Omni, HyperDyn and M7XL, Dani Fusion 2.0 and Convector SS and Ti and they all worked perfectly with the device.

I don't like getting into different settings I used because everyone will have their preference but for example I set the Flare for 70 watt and 20 seconds timer for use with the HyperDyn and finished a complete Tip in 3 heat ups with a perfect roast and excellent flavor. And I used 60 watt and 20 seconds for the Omni and got probably 8 heat ups with PHENOMENAL Flavor and excellent vapor production.

I'm also sure you can do a OHE (One Hit Extraction) with the device with no problems at all.

Another important feature of the device is the ability to change the depth of the Coil Base so you can set your preferred heating style. And they also provide you with the tool to do it so you don't need to get any extra things.

The device also have a powerful magnet to set your device on and let it cool down.

My final thoughts about the device is that BFG u/BatteryFreeGanz REALLY thought about how people are using their devices and designed a Brilliant device that I feel very lucky to have.

Well built, great design, and very powerful heater. I cannot understate enough how much this thing really takes the Dani Fusion 2 to the next level.
